What is
block booking?

Block booking is a cost-effective way for venues and communities across the Pacific Northwest to share touring artists. By coordinating multiple performances in a geographic region, presenters work directly with artists and agents to reduce travel costs and make it possible for smaller venues to present professional touring artists.

Cost Savings

Share travel costs among multiple venues to reduce expenses for everyone involved.

Regional Tours

Help touring artists fill multi-stop routes across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and beyond.

Community Building

Strengthen relationships between presenters who might otherwise never connect or collaborate.

Direct Coordination

Work directly with artists and agents to create efficient tour routes that benefit everyone.

Block Booking and Anchor Date Requests

Are you working on booking an upcoming tour?

As a self-represented artist or agent/manager, one of the great benefits of being a current member of Arts Northwest is our Block Booking email blast and our monthly anchor date email . If your upcoming tour meets the criteria, we build an email for you and that goes out to our entire presenter network!

How the Block Booking Request Works

Once you submit your tour details, our team gets to work. We build a professional email featuring your artist information, tour dates, and available booking windows — then send it directly to our full membership of presenters across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Wyoming, Utah, and Northern California. It’s a simple, effective way to get your tour in front of the right people at the right time.

Block Booking Request Criteria

3 Booked Dates Required : Membership Required

We ask for 3 booked dates since this service is designed to help fill in dates around booked tours.

3 established dates assure better block booking opportunities.
